Hi!

After using SUS to update my PC's in the WAN my IBM PC's are rebooting. I
get to the point where the "Black mode" goes into "Color mode". If you press
F8 and go to safe mode it still reboots constantly. This has happend to
three different PC's and I have no idea WHAT update was made since I can't
getin to the PC to read the logs. Any idea on how to resolve this problem. I
have tried updating the BIOS but still the same result.

PC: IBM Netvista/PC300 with Win 2k Pro.

I'll have one up tomorrow to try and resolve the problems but I need a hint
on where to start? Anyone?

I am EXTREMLY pissed of with MS right now. I called them to ask about this
but they won't tell me anything if I don't pay them $550! They created the
problem but WE have to pay them to solve it!???

I am also having problems after using windows update. This system, a
compaq deskpro, reboots as soon as it reached the end of the "Starting
Windows" progress bar. Booting up in safe mode or any other mode does
not fix the problem. It's just stuck in an endless reboot cycle.

Since I wasn't the person who updated the system, I don't know if
there were any errors from the update.

Does anyone know the cause of this problem? Is there a way to manually
fix it? I can boot up to Linux w/ the NTFS drivers and modify the file
system, but I would like to know what to look for.

Not a WORD from MS! More and more of my computers are failing and STILL no
word!!!

Freakin' unbelivible!

I posted a message about the same problem on 2/29. My system stays up for
three to seven minutes each time. No info on mskb. Still no response from
microsoft staff.
