All CPU Power Supplies the same size? My brother has a Hivison 300W Max
power supply in a clone PC of his. It died and we need to get a
replacement. Will any 300W power supply do because they are all the same
size?

Thanks,
Oscar

Do you mean the physical size or do you mean the power output? The
physical size is standardized, the power output is available in a range of
sizes. If I were you I'd get a 400W or better supply, 300 is marginal and
the price difference for a higher output supply is trivial. Get an Enermax
or Antec supply, expect to pay $70-$100 for a good supply. Don't buy a
cheap supply, it will be less reliable.

There are different physical size power supplies. Even if it is a standard size ATA power supply it might not have a standard ATA plug.

Typically a 300W would be a standard PS2 size, like this:
http://www.pcpowerandcooling.com/products/power_supplies/dimensions/dim_3atx.htm

If a replacement is only specified at "ATX 300W", odds are
similarly high that it would be same size, and the screw-mounting
holes are also standardized, but if in doubt, measure it.

"Any 300W" is not recommended, rather choose a quality name-brand
so you can have some assurance the actual capacity matches the
ratings printed on the label... ink on a generic power supply's
label is free, and often misleading. Antec, Sparkle, Fortron,
Delta, PC Power & Cooling, are a few good candidates.
