I just set up a small office network with my comp. been the host and my dads been a client, when both comp.s are off and I boot mine up (host) my dads starts up too how can I stop this.

Hi Alex

Your dad's network card has "Boot on LAN" enabled on his
network card. (also known as "Wake on LAN")

Basicaly, your dad's network card tells his PC to boot as
soon as it recieves any information (link).

To disable it:

1. Go into the CMOS (Press delete while the PC is booting)

2. Look under all the menu's for something about "wake on
lan".

Have fun.
