Windows XP Computer Not Starting

Hello

I have a Sony Vaio laptop with Microsoft XP operating system. I was in the middle of running Scan Disk when my computer lost power. This is what happens when I start my computer now:

Microsoft XP Logo comes up
Sony Vaio logo comes up

Then I get a message saying I need to choose one of the following:

Safe Mode
Safe Mode with Network
Safe Mode with Prompts
Last Known working
Start up normally

I have chosen each one and each time I do it brings me back to this screen. Does anyone know how I can fix this problem without having to wipe my computer?
