computer not starting up

my son is having trouble with his windows millenium the
computer will not start up it keeps on showing the
following message

DISK BOOT FAILURE
 
You would get quicker responses if you post to the WindowsME newsgroups and
not the WindowsXP newsgroups but:

Check there is no floppy disk in the floppy drive

Restart the PC

If still nothing, it may be his hard drive has died.

If neither of the two help, post to

microsoft.public.windowsme.general
