computer not responding

When accessing the internet my computer will stop
responding and need to be restarted in order to get any
program to work. This happens 75-90% of the time. My
other computers work fine on the same connection.

Tom,

I would start with a malware check. Spybot S&D then HijackThis, with
expert interpretation of the HJT output by SWI Forums:
