I was wondering if someone could help me. I am trying to rename the
computers in our office to a new Naming Scheme, as the old one was, well,
non-existant. But when I try to rename the computers, I get the following
error

The following error occurred attempting to rename the computer to "CC21":
The credentials supplied conflict with an existing set of credentials.

I thought that meant there was a computer already named that, but I assure
you there are no computers with that name.

Can anyone help?

Thanks
Jeff

Try this:

First, open up a command prompt and type

NET USE * /D

That will disconnect all network connections to the computer. After doing
so, close the command prompt window and try renaming the computer again.
