The monitor that I have has a 15 pronged male plug that plugs into my
computer. Several of the prongs are badly bent, precluding plugging in
the monitor. Any suggestions for repair, and if not, are there
replacement connecting plugs available?

If the cable has connectors at both ends, the simple
solution is to buy a new cable.

If none of the pins are broken, you can straighten
them with fine-tip needle-nose pliers. Make sure
part of you stays in contact with the metal hood
on the connector, to prevent any body charge from
zapping monitor circuits. Also, unplug the monitor
from AC power.

Broke one? You can attach a new connector, but you'll
need to chop the old one apart to figure out the
color coding.
