When I open up my Computer Management, I am automatically connected to a
different machine. How can I get it to default back to my LOCAL COMPUTER?

See if this helps.

In Computer Management, click on Action on the toolbar at the
top of the window.
In the menu that drops down, click on "Connect to another
computer...".
In Select Computer, make sure Local computer is selected.
Click OK.

If that doesn't fix the problem you can try creating another
console by running mmc.exe and adding the computer management
snap-in. During the setup process, you should be given the
option of selecting to manage the local computer.
