After installing SP4, I am experiencing a problem that
computer always loses IP after hybernating, sometimes when
it's running. The DHCP server is a wireless router and it
has not changed, other computers in the network don't
exhibit problem.
ipconfig show ip changed to 0.0.0.0
Any configuration/ setup parameters to change?

Hi Ykarmi,

Probably the problem comes from Router. Try to change DHCP lease time longer
and if your computer lost ip, try to restart your router, check if your
computer can get ip. Also you may upgrade your router firmware.

The problem is not the router, DHCP lease there is one
week and it has not changed. Problem started after
upgrading Win2K to SP4 which may have changed some
settings. Since LAN connection is fine, is there any way
to 1)protect the IP and 2) if it fails, force the computer
to request a new IP (ipconfig /renew does not work)
Another symptom that started same time: Network
connections/properties/TCPIP/Properties, any change
freezes this window and can only be closed thru task
manager)
