I work on my FP site offline and then publish to my provider. Last night,
the changed pages got published, then the computer froze up when the log
files started to be created. Subsequent attempts have produced the same
problem. The error message says:

Error Signature
C:\DOCUME~1\adziek\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER4ade.dir00\FRONTPG.EXE.mdmp
C:\DOCUME~1\adziek\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER4ade.dir00\appcompat.txt

I have no idea what to do. The last thing I did before the problem was
update my Norton AntiVirus software. Can you point me in the right direction
to trouble shoot?

You might try deleting those temporary files that are in the directory
C:\DOCUME~1\adziek\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER4ade.dir00\ that you mentioned and try
publishing again. I would be interested in what the file appcompat.txt has
to say also. There may be some answers there as to what's happening.

What version of FrontPage are you using and what version of Windows is it
on?

Jeff

Download FPcleaner from www.95isalive.com/fixes/fpclean.htm and run the
Clear Temporary Files and Clear Web Cache files routines.

See if that helps.

|I just looked. The WER4ade.dir00 directory does not exist is that
location.
