computer keys not working please help

im having troubles with my laptop the number keys are not working every time
i press them the numbers are not coming up only the symbols please help
urgent!!!!!!!

Which numbers are you trying to use?
Top row numbers: These should work with caps lock on or off but try it both
ways.

Laptops usually provide a toggle that converts a group keys on the right
hand side into a number pad. May need to press Numlock or Fn+Numlock to
turn this on and off.
