Some please help us, we are desparate! Our computer
reboots everytime someone in the bathroom flushes the
toilet. We now save and close everything before using the
facilities each time! PLease help! What could be causing
this?!?

Niether, it's just the bathroom in the hall by the
bedrooms. Why would it matter? How would knowing that
stop this from happening?

You have a new worm called the flusher worm. It can
reboot your computer just like the blaster and sasser
worms. HTH and HAND.

Simple fix for this one...simply pull your head out of your as* and then
wedge it firmly in the opening in the toilet. Turn it one-quarter turn in
either direction. Voila! Now no one can use the toilet, and you won't be
able to post anymore!

everyone is not taking you seriously as plumbing and electrical hardware (so they think) has no connection and hence you're mis-diagnosing the cause of the proble

however.....

if the ground for your building is tied to the plumbing (as is often the case) then a ground loop issue would possibly cause the reboot you may (i personally think your toilet is not full but you are) be havin

if you are seriously experiencing this issue go and buy a 3 prong to 2 prong plug isolator/adapter

should fix the issue

I'm sorry, I was just kidding. There's NO WAY flushing
the toilet can cause your system to re-boot, unless the
laws of physics are different at your house . . . On the
other hand, if this is an older home with copper pipes and
the electrical service is grounded to the cold-water
pipes, I guess it IS possible, somehow, for the circuit
that the computer's on to be shorted out. It would just
be incredibly unlikely . . . If you're convinced there is
a connection, I'd call an electrician. But first I'd move
the computer to a friend's house and try it there. Good
Luck ! (sorry, I just found the whole premise amusing, I
guess it's NOT to you)
