Help!! I built a new XP system not too long ago. Worked
good. Then my wifes power box went out on her computer so
I took my Hard drive out and put her HD in my new system.
When she go a new power box I took her HD out and
installed it in her system, I then put my HD back in mine
and rebooted. When the system came up it looked normal
but about 3 minutes after it was up it rebooted itself
and continues the same way on and on. It does give me
enough time to run my virus software or anything else.
Has anyone experienced this before?? Is it a virus?? Is
it my Bios?? Any ideas??

Thanks

Any messages before it reboots? Zero help is available with your
current description.

Go to the doctor and say "I feel ill" and he'll have trouble helping
you without more information!

I tried installing a different hard drive and now I get a
black screen that says :while initializing device windows
protection error, You must reboot your system" Sometimes
it has "VCACHE" and sometimes it has "MTRR" with the
above message. It boots up in safemode but not in windows
98. (Different drive different OS.)

get article # 322205 off the microsft knowledge
database. Not sure how much help it is, but it at least
has some ideas about it.
