I have a peer-to-peer network with 7 computers running Windows XP
Professional. Permission was given but still no access. Everything works
fine but no-one is able to access 1 computer. The message is as follows.
" Computer4 is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this
network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if
you have access permission. The network path was not found."

Can anyone help me with this one. Thanks in advance

what do you receive if using net view \\computer4name? if it is system error 53, this is name resolution issue; if it is syste, error 5, this is permission issue. If it is permission issue, have create the same username on the remote computer? or try to enable guest account. These links may help,

Can Computer4 access the other computers okay? In other words is this
a one-way failure or is it present both ways?

One way failure problems most often turn out to be related to firewall
settings. Try disabling, at least temporarily, any firewall
(including the Windows XP built-in firewall) on computer4 and see if
that makes a difference.

Good luck
