Been having a problem on bootup, get a warning "bing"
every time it boots up. Looked in event viewer and it
says your computer has automatically configured the IP
address for your network card with address blah blah
blah. The Ip address that my dsl uses is different, that
is why I get a warning "bing" on bootup. how do I make it
right? Do I have to uninstall and reinstall my dsl to fix
this? Please help that sound is real irritating.

well, the "bling" is normal. most computers make this
noise during post. if the computer is going "bling bling"
that's not normal, and if the computer is going "bling
bling bling," you may want to check your cd-rom for a rap
cd...;)

are you getting internet access? is your ip address a
162.???.???.??? or something weird like that? do you have
a static or dynamic ip address?

You are getting this because your client cannot find a DHCP server If you
have a DHCP server on the network, make sure it is configured correctly to
assign IP addresses. If so, there is some connectivity issue between the
client and the DHCP device. Test your network cable, network card driver and
your network card..
