Computer installed incorrect IP address

You are getting this because your client cannot find a DHCP server If you
have a DHCP server on the network, make sure it is configured correctly to
assign IP addresses. If so, there is some connectivity issue between the
client and the DHCP device. Test your network cable, network card driver and
your network card..

But I am not connected to a network. thi is my home
computer. This just all of a sudden started. How do I fix
it?

Would it help if I uninstalled and reinstalled my dsl? How
do I repair this? This never did this before. It just
started happening.
