I have a huge problem on my Win2K laptop. It is a fairly
beefy machine with lots of hard drive space. I have large
directories (with up to 1000 image files in them). When I
try to display these directories using "View as
Thumbnails" the scroll button hangs and the window will
just sit there waiting for the thumbs to load. Is there
any way of speeding this up? I have tried making the
directories smaller, even with 100 images, once I scroll
past a certain point, the elevator box shoots down the
window goes blank and the computer waits while the hard
drive crunches.
cheers
