Hi,

I recently encountered a real major problem with my powerpoint
application. everytime i open the application or open a ppt file, the
computer just hangs!! nothing i can do to kill or get back to my other
applications and i just have to hard boot my system.

Previously i used to have some similar problem with Excel but i
just can't remember how i solved it, if i'm not wrong i think there's
something to do with the registry.

Anyway, i've tried uninstall and reinstall the application, try
increasing memory space in the computer, and try cleaning up the
computer registry, none of them managed to solve the problem.

really appreciate if anyone with knowledge of how to solve this
problem could shed some light.

Do contact me at (e-mail address removed) if you have a solution,
thanks!

Rgds,
Terence

Try deleting your *.PCB file.

If that doesn't work, rename all *.PPA files to *.OLD. Then, if PPT
starts okay, shut it down and rename those files back to PPA one at a
time until you can isolate the problem addin.
