computer goes to sleep mode and will not wake up

My desktop goes into sleep mode and will not wakeup. I have to restart it
some times as many as 4 times. I went in to power Management and set the
sleep to never and it still goes to sleep i am considering going back to XP
 
I went through 4 versions of video drivers for my Nvidia 6600 card before
the 5th set allowed me to wake from sleep.
