Like Veronica, my computer has been freezing after a
minute, just seconds or hours; no warning. A message
comes on that Windows had encountered a specific problem
(it doesn't say what) and needs to close. I must choose
to tell Micro-soft or not, then ZAP! It shuts down and
all not saved is lost.

The other half of the problem is Adobe that came with my
Canon scanner. Adobe yields a dark preview scanning a
dark picture and lots of light on a bright picture. Most
of the time the scan goes on, reverses a second, goes on,
reverses and does this MANY times per picture, then shuts
down also. It even disables the driver software at times.

It has done this since I got the "Blaster" but I used the
fix and repair program.

I hope someone can help me.

Thank you.

Be sure to have at least 256 mb or more of RAM, and run
the system file checker tool. Do this by typeing in your
start-run box this here; "sfc /scannow" with that space
after the sfc, and it may ask for your windows XP CD to
copy any needed system files, as they are found to be
missing or corrupt. Also run the maintenance tools, disk
cleanup, disk defrag, checkdisk, and so on regularly.
