computer freezes up whenever I try to use the DVD drive

Hi everybody!

My computer freezes up whenever I try to use the DVD
drive. A movie, a program doen't matter, as soon as it
begings to read the media, it will lock up. Tried
replacing units, did not help, other drives such as CDRW
will work fine....

Got enough RAM memory? May not have enough to run the

DVD program.Check your system, and check your DVD
requirments.Like you computer has 256MB of RAM,and you
need 512MB of RAM to run the DVD,could cause it's program
to lock-up.
