Presuming that you are reading this reply on a computer other than the one
with which you are having trouble, let's get some important information.
Has your computer always had this condition of freezing up (online and
offline)? What kind of computer is it. What version of Windows are your
using? How old is the computer. Have there been any recent power-surges
in the area where you are? Do you use a surge-protector?
If the freezing up just started recently, and there haven't been any
power-surges recently, and you use an excellent antivirus package, and you
use a firewall, have you installed anything new (hardware or software)
recently?
