Please if someone has any ideas as to what the reasoning
is behind one of my computers freezing. It seems to
happen in random places for the user and at random times.
You cannot even control alt delete to get the task manager
to come up. After it reboots, there is no error message
in the logs that i can see. It is a mystery...and a
frustrating one at that. any light that anyone can shed
on this problem I would be very greatful. Thank you.

Though I can not explain why this happens, this tool may
help give you clues to figure it out; SysTrack 3.1 from
Lakeside Software. One of SysTrack's features is called
the Blackbox Data Recorder. Just as you would think of
the usefulness of the Blackbox for an airplane; this tool
works the same. When the answer isn't in the event log;
the Blackbox is the next place to start investigating.
They ahve free download demos. You may even be able to
figure out your problem before the demo runs out - for
free. Good luck with your problem.

The same exact thing happened to me when I recently bought
a brand new computer. I took it back to the computer
store numerous times, and they never observed the
problem. The one program that would consistently freeze
up was TurboCad (sometimes it would freeze up after 5
minutes and sometimes after several hours). Finally, the
computer technician observed the problem while using
TurboCad and tracked the problem down to a bad mainboard
(MSI 645E Max-U). After replacing the mainboard, I have
not experienced anymore problems.
