I tried searching the posts to help with this problem but
I couldn't find anything.

The problem:
After 15-20 minutes on-line using DSL or cable, the
computer (Toshiba Satellite) freezes and I have to turn
off the power. It usually freezes when I'm scrolling up
or down a webpage.

I tried all the AOL tech help options, like Discscan, disk
defrag, deleting cookies, art, etc...

This happens both on the AOL broswer as well as IE.
Everything works fine on dial-up. I'm assuming that the
computer is getting too much info and freezes.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I'd greatly appreciate
the help.

Thanks

Sounds like a corrupt dll somewhere. You might also want to look at your
video settings. Try it at 800x600 256 color. If it is still doing it then
uninstall the AOL software and then try out the system. If it is working
fine then it is AOL's software. I suspect that is where the problem is.

You can configure both ie and outlook express manually without their
software if necessary.

I have a satelite pro (480 cdt) on xp. I have broadband and it runs fine.
This is why i suspect AOL software.
