Marc

I tried searching the posts to help with this problem but
I couldn't find anything.

The problem:
After 15-20 minutes on-line using DSL or cable, the
computer (Toshiba Satellite) freezes and I have to turn
off the power. It usually freezes when I'm scrolling up
or down a webpage.

I tried all the AOL tech help options, like Discscan, disk
defrag, deleting cookies, art, etc...

This happens both on the AOL broswer as well as IE.
Everything works fine on dial-up. I'm assuming that the
computer is getting too much info and freezes.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I'd greatly appreciate
the help.

Thanks

.

I too have this same problem. I am running Win98SE on a
Toshiba Tecra 8100 connecting to the internet thru Comcast
cable connection. It doesnt seem to be restricted to the
Toshiba machines though because this all happens on my
Dell Inspiron. It does seem to be restricted to laptops
though, because I have no problems on my desktop machines
running Win98SE and WinXP. Any help would be greatly
appreciated.

Thanks,
Alicia Williams
