The computer goes through the installation process and at the first boot it
freezes after the boot progress bar goes through two and a half times or so.
I have search and found nothing.
Windows is being installed to a seperate partition, not sure if that's it?
From what I've seen others with the same laptop have had the same problem
with beta 2.. I have the issue with RC1 and RC2. I am doing a clean
installed from a burned DVD. I also tried installing with a Daemon Tools
Mount and received the same results. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
If any more information is needed let me know.

Comp Specs:
Model: Toshiba M45-S265
Ram: 512MB DDR
Processor: Intel Centrino 730 (1.6Ghz)
Display: Intel 915GM/GMS

I have also included a boot log if that helps at all..

I have the identical problem. I have a Toshiba m40 with an Nviidia Go 6600. I
tried safe mode and it stalls at crcdisk.sys. I also tried to do a windows
repair and it gives me error signature 4: 65537
sig 06: FialureDuringSetup
sig 10: 1168

ANy help would be appreciated. I have a friend with the identical laptop an
his install worked like a charm. (except for nvidia driver issues).

Found the following on a disscusion board at: http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/co...4abc-4e32-aed9-36608298d65a&lang=en&cr=US&p=1

Have been searching the forum for months trying to find a solution to
the halting installation, usually thought to have been associated with
crcdisk.sys.

The problem is in fact caused by pcmcia.sys files! To get round this,
you need to delete or rename two files, but this can't be done from the
safe mode command prompt, due to permissions.

Instead, reboot from the install dvd and go to repair, then command
prompt. Locate and rename the following files...

Navigate to: c:\windows\system32\drivers\
Rename pcmcia.sys pcmcia.old
Navigate to: c:\windows\system32\driverstore\filerepository\
Rename pcmcia.inf_539d553e pcmcia.inf_539d553eold

I found that on another discussion board, it didn't help my problem but it may help yours.
