Hi everybody,

I need help. The problem:
I boot my computer and soon get to (Initializing USB Controller ?) an
there stops and freezes.
Pushing Ctrl-Alt + Delete or any other button, does nothing. I push th
tiny button in front of CPU box to re-boot the computer and the compute
re-boots, but then freezes again at (Initializing USB Controller ?). I
behaves this way only one times every 4 boots and started this problem
months ago.

I turn off the power bar switch for one minute and turn it on again. No
I boot my computer and boots OK and work fine.

I have window Vista Home Premium 32 bit with 2 GB memory. My hard driv
is 3 years old, Western Digital 320 GB divided in 2 partitions. Driv
C:\ has plenty of space. I have a second hard drive of 400 GB. Windo
Vista is fully updated.

Is this problem related to Vista Drivers or the hard drive is gettin
older?

Please advise
Thanks
Gloru0

well first of all you need to make sure if your mouse and keyboard have any
lose connection , as you said windows start up fine but it freez... and
keyboard doesn't respond .

Try booting from live linux CD. If it boots, you can concluded that
it's probably a software problem with the Vista.

Hi,
I have tried a boot CD; any boot CD will do the trick. However, th
freeze occurs at (Initializing USB Controller …) is at beginnin
of the boot sequence, before the Bios searches for a CD in the CD/DV
Rom. I start to believe that the problem I have it’s not relate
to the OS.
Thanks for the advice, gloru0
