computer dropping off the network

hi, I'm new here but I have a problem. A month ago my mb blew on my win2k
server box. I replaced it with the exact same board and everything was fine
for a few days...then randomly (it seems) the server drops off the network.
I have to completely restart to get it back on. The nic is builtin the mb
and i reconfigured my network to a bus pattern after i installed the new mb.
i've reinstalled sp4 and reinstalled the nic drivers, but after that this
morning was particularly bad....dropped off three or four times, server froze
the first 2 or 3 times and I had to use the reset button. It seems that the
problems are always in the morning. After noon it rarely drops off....I
don't have more or less users after noon, I don't get it. Any suggestions?

I would check all the network hardware between the PC and the central hub or
switch on the network, possibly changing the PC to a different port on the
switch if possible.

problems.....will post back in a couple of days and let you know for
sure....thanks again.
