Computer does not restart it hangs..

When I select restart all I get is a black monitor, however, the computer still runs it does not reboot. On the other hand, the shut-down and logoff works

Any suggestion please....
 
I have the exact same problem and all the help files/sites seem to
lean more to the ppl that can't shut down.....
