HELP ME PLEASE !!!!
I have recently upgraded from ME to XP Professional. I am
having problems with system crashes and lock-up problems.
I have a 2.8GHZ Gateway PC and 80 GB. hard drive. I
initialy performed an up-grade from ME to XP. I then
removed all files completly and installed XP as the only
operating system to seemingly no avail. If anyone has any
ideas or a means for me to resolve my problem I would
greatly appreciate your assistance.
Thank you,
Brian K. Bolinger

.
Check for a BIOS update for your motherboard at the PC
maker's web site, and if needed flash it in. Also check
for any and all device driver updates for your system
devices such as the video card, and install those as
needed. Then check that it has at least 256 MB of good RAM
memory, and if needed run a diagnostics test on the memory.
And over heating can cause this too, so check the cooling.
