computer crash/virus with xp

when i turn on my computer I am getting a black screen
with a message stating something to the effect "load dll
kernel" It will not let me reload windows xp. Help!

Why not, what errors are you receiving when you try, how are you attempting
this "reload," are you using a retail version of XP or do you have a system
recovery CD from your system manufacturer?
