One Computer on a small buisness network. Running 2000 has this problem
10-15 others work fine.
Internet = DSL
Hardware = 100Mbps Switch to Netgear Router
Running Win 2000 Fully Up To Date and Patched
All users on this particular computer have about 50% of the time the
symptom of not being able to view the internet with internet explorer.
Sounded at first like a simple error, however a tracert works flawlessly
to the same addresses as attempting to connect to with ie, and
firefox. Symptoms affect browsers and proprietary programs which
connect to the internet, however not command line tests. Users can use
outlook connected via the lan to the exchange server on the internal
network.
This problem has been going on for the best part of a week through
service restarts.
Thanks
