Hey all,

I am thinking about building a new PC, and am just after some comments
on some of the specs:

AMD XP 3200+ CPU
1.5G DDR RAM (PC2700, maybe PC3200)

Mainboard (Not sure which, but it will need at least 5 PCI slots,
and SATA)

128-256Mb Graphics (Again, not entirely sure which one yet. Maybe ASUS
or ATI)

Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Platinum
Logitech Cordless Keyboard + Mouse
19" or 21" LCD/TFT Monitor

Dual 250G HDD (SATA) in mirrored RAID formation, partitioned in half

OS: Windows XP Professional \
| - Dual boot, plus emulators
Red Hat Linux 9 /

Certain Audigy cards have incompatibility problems with certain Radeon
cards. You may want to check in the ATI newsgroup about it.
 
no problems with them just user error... don't like the live card however the Audigy 2 plat works fine with AIW 7500 and a
9700pro
 
I run an Audigy with a 9700 Pro, no problems. Nforce2 board.
