Eli,
It would be easy to make this a long post, but I won't.
As a long time PC, and word processor, user (anybody remember
WordStar?), I'm still a novice with each new PC and OS. I'm 73, long
retired, and I found Lesley's request to use accepted netiquette to be
polite and succinct.
We should all consider the sensibilities of those dedicated people who
answer the same old cries for help day after day, by making our own
posts as readable as possible. This includes netiquette, as well as
proper capitalization, and punctuation (a gentle rebuke), to the best of
our abilities (my copout).

| its also not very nice to growl and shout at newly retired computer
| illiterate people.
| have a heart!
| try to be a little more patient with older people and those who claim
to be
| computer illiterate.
| they are trying to fit into this new and difficult world of computers.
| you don't have to be so rude to them.
| i would have given them the simple directions to write a basic letter
| without telling them "how bad they are" so that i don't get them to be
even
| more discouraged at their first steps in the computer world.
| think about it!
