Is there a way on an Windows2003 Domain with WindowsXP Pro clients to force
the location of the user profiles to be determined by IP address ranges,
Organizational Unit or computer name?
We are a large university, in two cities, with just under 60,000 users on
250 public access computers, and wish to have a blank setting for the
location of the user profile in the user settings, and instead have the
location based on the computer instead. So that City1 one has it's own
special profile, and City2 has another, so that our users can log on in
either city and get the correct settings such as the closest local printer.
(and there shall be only one AD Site because the Network is more than enough
to transfer AD data between cities, and we therefore dislike the delay if
using more that 1 site).
