computer always crash while scanning for virus

Hello

I have a Pentium 4 and I use Windows XP. When i scan my pc for virus, my pc always crash. He's always shut down and reboot by himself. He's crash sometime when i'm playing a game. I don't understand what is happening.

Somebody can help me to fix my problem
