My Windows XP Administrator account is protected by a password, and try as I
might I can't remember it. I didn't create a password save disk, so I'm
checking to see if there is anything I can do to get back into my account.
Any thoughts?

Windows XP has biuld-in hidden administrator account visible only in Safe Mode
It is called Administrator.

1.You have to boot in Safe Mode

Do this by repeatedly typing F8 while Windows is starting before
Windows logo appears.
Then you'll open the BIOS menu where you can choose to boot
the hard drive in SAFE MODE

(If you are XP user ,find more about Safe Mode
in Help and Support Center ; Start-Help and Suport)

2. Access the PC while using this Administrator account
Goto Control Panel -> User accounts
and choose your original admin account and from the options choose
Remove Password

Next time be more careful about the passwords.

Hi,

You can reset the local Administrator password with one of the methods
mentioned here (you may need to create the boot cd/floppy on another
computer):

http://www.petri.co.il/forgot_administrator_password.htm

e.g. this one:
http://home.eunet.no/~pnordahl/ntpasswd/
