Compression and Cropping

Using PPT 2003.

Have jpg file. Have cropped it. Then used Compress Picture and enabled
option to DELETE cropped area. Yet cropped area is STILL THERE! Did I
overlook something?

Thanks for any pointers.
 
YES! File has been saved, closed and reopened -- the cropped portion still
exists.

Hi,

Yup... seen it but don't know why it happens. Maybe cut the image, paste
back as png, which PowerPoint understands better.

Have you applied the latest Service Packs? I don't know if it was updated in
one of them.
