Compressing files to burn onto CD Rom.

I have a movie that is about 730,000 KB and I would like
to compress the movie to burn it off onto a CD Rom disk.
I don't have a DVD drive and my CD Rom disks will only
hold 703,000 MB. I've tryied Win Zip and my built in Zip
function (unknown kind) and they both compress the file
down to 712,000 KB and that's about as small as I can get
it. Can someone help me to be able to put this movie onto
a CD Rom disks. Thanks.

CDs wont support the file type,the technology to run a
movie from a cd isnt available,thats why dvds are here.

Do you have software that will compress the movie ? If so
try changing the final screen size (make it smaller) or
lower the bit rate or the frames per second rate.

If it's an AVI file, import into MovieMaker and then save it as a WMV file
which is more compressed.
