Compressed(zipped) Files-photos

How do one unzip a photo file to view photos. I compressed
my photos to save space to transfer them to a cd at
another time, now that I tranfered them to the cd I can't
unzip the file to view the photo's
 
You cannot unzip a file directly on a CD.
You have to copy it back to your hard drive and then unzip the file on your
hard drive.
