Is it possible to view thumbnails in a Compressed (Zipped) Folder in Explorer?

No. At least it doesn't work here. Thumbnails does work in folders that are
not zipped though.

Not sure why you're asking the question but if you have a program installed
that makes a contact sheet of thumbnails, you could use those as reference
sheets for what images are in what zip files. Programs like ACDsee and
ThumbsPlus will also create catalogs of archived images.

Thanks Sharon, the reason I'm asking is becuz I have about 5000 zip files of jpegs that I need to go thru. The project I'm working on has 2 goals, 1) delete certain files from all the zip files that have them, but I can't tell which ones unless I'm able to see them, & 2) extract at least 1 jpeg from each. Thanx again

You're welcome! Figured it was a project similar to one that you described.
Hope that you are able to find a workaround that is convenient.
