I am in need of drive space, so I thought I would compress as many files I
could.
After compression, the directory trees shows not only the compressed size,
but ALSO the same files and the space they use that I had just compressed.
This ends up using MORE diskspace.
Can I delete the original files that I had compressed ??

Thanks for any help

If you copied the original files into a compressed volume, then yes. But
make sure that they are duplicates first.

Thanks for replying to my post.
How will I be able to be sure ... would that be the size of the compressed
or the file folder ??
