Hi,

You need to decompress the file on a system that contains the same drive
compression tool that was used to create it. WinXP does not/can not
decompress files made with drivespace from the Win9x line.

Dblspace was released with Dos 6. It included windows programs to administer it (and an AV program)

Dos 6.22 was the first with Drvspace - a dblspace version without pirated code in it. (PS Dosshell works great in XP, 9x command.com can only handle 8 letter filenames but dos command.com [XP is dos 5] handles 9 character - the 9th is used by dosshell to tell command it's dosshell issueing the command.)

Type
edit /r /70 filename

eg
edit /r /70 c:\myfile.001

Post the first few lines. This was a common way of numbering things.

If the first two characters are pk then

filename.001+filename.002+...+filename.006 newfilename.zip
