Hi all,

I'm trying to write a formula in excel that will do the
following:

in T1, I have £3,907 which will give me return of 8.5%.
in T2, I now have 3,907 + the return of 8.5% from T1, all
of which will give me return of 8.5%
in T3 etc..

i want to be able to calculate how much i would have
after 42 time periods.

Can anyone help?

Thanks,

Luc

Luc,

=FV(0.085,42,0,-A1)
=A1*(1+0.085)^42

where A1 has 3907.
