Hi,

I am using the ComponentOne tool for developping an automatisation of
reporting. My problem is that when i try to export the report, using
the printviewer of C1, it does it really well but not all of it. I
don't know why but it's killing the field that i have put in the
footer.

I have put a single field in the footer and when i export the Report to
RFT format it dispatch me that field in twenty fields... has anybody
face yet such a problem ?

Regards,

Sure, i did one week ago... and i still have no answers.. Even one
response. That's why i am trying here, but i doubt to find an answer.
Just trying to know if someone had the same problem and what he did to
pass through that.

Hello Christophe, I'm afraid I can't answer your question, however I
have a question of my own.

I have been considering purchasing C1 myself but was frightened off by
their "buggy" demo. What's your overall opinion of the software?
Obviously, by your post, there are other issues with the software, but
I'd be interested (and I'm sure others too) in your general unbiased
opinion.

ShaneO

Hi ShaneO,

i will to be brief, C1 is a good software, it allows you to make thnigs
easier. I haven't test the demo so i can't tell if it is the same thing
but i can say that it 's really helpful. It allows you to make a lot of
things easier, like report, printwiews, grid, etc.. The helpcentral of
C1 isn't really good, sometimes you will have a response very quickly,
sometimes you will have to reask your question in order to show them
that it is important. For a company use C1 is helpful, for a personal
use... i don't think.I do think so because all the things you use with
C1 can be made by your own code. It's helpful in a company environment
because it allows to code faster, and so make your boss happy

If you have another question i will be pleased to answer you.

Best regards,

Hello Marcelino,

Thank-you very much for your reply.

It sounds like you're generally happy with the product, which is what I
really wanted to know. As far as support goes - living in Australia we
don't generally obtain support from any software supplier, so we've
grown used to not expecting anything to start with, this way we're never
disappointed. (Although things have been getting better since the
Internet came along!).

I am glad to see that my answer helped you in making your decision.
Hope you won't be disappointed with the product.
