I have an admin assistant, who has editor access to two
executives contacts lists in his folder view. He has
asked if there is a way to make the executive's contacts
list available from the "Select Names" dialog when
creating a new e-mail.

Obviously we could copy the contacts as subfolders to his
contacts folder, but that would be a waste of storage.

Thanks in advance.

Confusing post. If these Contacts are not in a Contacts subfolder now, where
are they? What do you mean by "contacts list?" That term is unclear.

Are these Exchange mailbox Contacts lists? If so, the process of adding
another user's Contacts folder to your own address book display is somewhat
involved:

1. Start with a profile that logs directly onto the other user's mailbox,
not your own.

2. On the Properties dialog for the other user's Contacts folder, make sure
that it's set to display in the Outlook Address Book and give it a display
name other than contacts, such as Joe's Contacts.

3. Close Outlook.

4. In Control Panel | Mail, edit the *same profile* to change the mailbox
from the other user's to your own. On the Advanced tab of the Exchange
Server service, add the other user's mailbox as a secondary mailbox.

5. Restart Outlook, and you should see the Joe's Contacts in your Outlook
Address Book as well as your own Contacts folder.

I have already performed the steps that you listed, Sue;
and the other contacts folder shows up correctly in
the "Folders" view. However, the challenge is when
sending an e-mail the admin assistant wants to be able to
address e-mails from contacts listed in the
executive's "Contacts".

Currently when he looks in the address book view, at the
bottom of the "Show names from the" drop-down list, he
only sees his contacts under Outlook Address Book...

Hope this makes more sense.

Try the steps I suggested again. You must start in a profile logged on
directly to the executive's mailbox.

I logged in as the executive and followed each step
exactly as you listed them; however, it still does not
show.
