Hi
I've currently got AOL broadband silver on my PC and I also wanted Broadband on my Laptop. So as recommended I went and forked out on a new Belkin Wireless Ethernet Router and a wireless network card thingy for my laptop. I've stuck the card in the laptop and installed it with no problems and I've conected the router to the PC but I cant connect to the internet via the router. Apparently I need a Virtual Path Identifier Number (VPI) and a Virtual Circuit Identifier number (VCI). I've telephoned the ever helpful AOL helpline but they are not prepared to help me because they do not support home networking (I hate Aol - biggest mistake ever!). I've also tried contacting the helpline number for Belkin but its a dead line (great!). So I've ended up with two bits of expensive equipment that I cant use. If anyone can help I'd be extremly grateful but please go easy with me because I really have little knowledge when it comes to this sort of thing. Thanks if you can help xx

Hi Sarah, am I right in assuming you have bought an ADSL Router, and have dispensed with AOL's modem and connected the router to the ADSL phone line?
I set up a friends PC who had AOL Silver and used one of the listed routers that AOL say they support, an Netgear DG834G and it set up no problem and I did not need any VPI or VCI (whatever they are!).
If it helps, Belkins Support No. is 00 800 2 2355460 ( Make sure you dial both leading zeros)
