I wonder if anyone can help me...I have been away and
when I got back to work, someone else had created a
username on my pc. I am running XP pro. Anyway, I have
deleted the user off my computer, however, people are
still not able to print to the shared printer on my pc,
as it still comes up with the other user name, to login
to my pc, and I do not have his password. I thought by
deleting his account, it would remove all reference to
his name. How do I remove his account completely, so
that we can print to my printer? I don't even have a
password on my computer, but it just always points to the
other guy....

Is there anyway of not having any uses??? Or will there
always be a user account...is that how it has been set
up??

Please help, I am getting frustrated.

Thanks

Don't you just love the wisecrackers (previous reply)
Make sure that you are logged in as administrator or that
you have administration rights. Go to the users and
passwords under control panel. Check to see if his
account is still there, if it is delete it. Also open up
My Computer, navigate to the following folders C Drive,
Documents and settings, look here and see if you see
folders with his account name, if so delete them. (You
will need administrator rights to do this). Reboot the
computer and see if the problem corrects itself, if not go
back to your control panel, find the printers folder,
delete the printer and then reinstall it and give it
sharing rights under your login. Hope this help.s

Gerry, thanks for answering my question...you the only one who has, besides that stupid comment that unknowledgable geek made!

Unfortunately, I have already done what you suggested, but it isn't working, well it is, sort of, but not properly....

People can only print, only if they first go start --> run --> \\shaz and then it connects to my pc, and then it comes up with another window, where they have to put my username and my password in, however here is no option to save it, so everytime they reboot their computer, they have to do that! What I don't want to do is create additional users on my computer, as it is my computer, so I don't wish to have everyone logging on! It works if I create another user, they can connect and save the password via that way, however not through my name. I am the administrator, but that shouldn't make a difference, as I created another "administrator" account and people printed with no problem through that account....

Any help please!
