I have had this same error popping up 0x8050800c and I have tried every
removal technique listed here..I even have an email request into support
(with no response yet). Is there a removal exe or script such as the One
Care uninstall script. I think this would resolve this same error once it is
completely removed and re-installed.

Hello Leo,

Try this gº to Windows Update, select Express (Get high-priority updates),
and apply all offered updªtes
http://update.microsoft.com

Once that is finished, can you verify the update installs? There are many
pre-requisite files which are needed from windows update and signature update
with windows defender will fail until you hªve these files.

After, check this #'s

WD v. 1.1.1347.0
Engine v. 1.1.1372.0
Signature v. 1.14.1436.4

I hope this post is helpful.

Let us know how it works ºut.

Engel,

I just followed your post and there were no updates available. I checked
the Help About page and I have the exact versions you mentioned. I also
manually chose the Check for Updates button on that page and it is updaed.
Also, I did hear back from the support group and they want me to run a
scandisk..I don't think that has anything to do with this. I am thinking a
complete removal and re-install will reset this. Are you aware of a .exe or
..msi like the one for the One Care product. I have this happening on two of
3 machines.

Maybe you need to contact them again. This time, send a complete report with
a lot of info about your system, what you have try it etc, etc,

Good luck
